春到大苏尔 （Big Sur）
从旧金山往南约一百多英里，有一段90英里的盘山海岸线，峰回路转、景色绝美. 著名的一号公路在这里沿着太平洋一路蜿蜒， 眼前景色或绿草如茵，牛羊成群，或悬崖峭壁，惊涛拍岸，令人时而心旷神怡，时而凝神屏息。面对如诗如画的景色，禁不住赞叹大自然的壮美。这就是Big Sur（大苏尔，或译大索尔），是《国家地理》评选出的人生必游五十景点之一。
之所以会有Big Sur这段世外桃源般的滨海公路，是由于Santa Lucia山脉紧傍着太平洋沿岸而形成，这是整个北美洲离海最近的山最陡峭的地方，号称是世界上山脉和海洋接触最美丽的揽胜角度。它的美又在于它的天然， 这段路程大部分都属于海洋生态保护区，是海獭、海狮等哺乳动物的栖息地。若从指定位置慢慢走下海滩，还可以看到肥肥大大趴满沙滩的海象群。这里也是鲸鱼每年迁徙的必经路线，运气好时会看到灰鲸喷出水柱。还有加州秃鹰，盘旋在空中，发出怪怪的叫声....
